This summer, get an insider’s point-of-view on a different Chicago neighborhood each week when Get Up and Go!, a popular series featuring conversations with community experts followed by guided walking tours, returns to the Chicago Cultural Center.
Hosted by Mark Bazer, RedEye columnist, humorist and host of The Hideout’s acclaimed Interview Show, these informal lunchtime programs start with a discussion about all there is to eat, see and do in Chicago’s unique neighborhoods followed by a visit to the featured community.
Conversations begin at 12:15 p.m. every Tuesday, June 5 through August 28, at the Chicago Cultural Center (77 E. Randolph Street, 5th Floor Millennium Park Room), with the discussion and Q&A session lasting approximately 40 minutes. Tours will last approximately one hour, not including commute time, and will depart from and return to the Chicago Cultural Center via public transportation. A complimentary, single-day CTA pass will be provided to a limited number of audience members taking the tour.
Space is limited; reservations are highly recommended. Visit www.ExploreChicago.org/tours to reserve a seat in advance, and for additional event details including the list of scheduled guest speakers.
