The Neo-Futurists present their annual Pride Weekend benefit: 30 Queer Plays in 60 Straight Minutes, a special edition of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind: 30 Plays in 60 Minutes that pulls favorite queer-sexuality and gender bending themed plays from the past year into one fabulous Pride show, to benefit and support local LGBTQ organizations. This year’s beneficiary is UCAN’s LGBTQ Host Home Program. Due to overwhelming demand, The Neos Pride Weekend has added a Thursday night performance, giving audiences an extra chance to celebrate and support Chicago’s LGBTQ community with the Neo-family.

UCAN isa 143 year old social service organization serving almost 14,000 at risk children, youth and families each year.UCAN’s LGBTQ Host Home Program is an intentionally small, non-institutionalized program that links homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or questioning(LGBTQ) youth aged 18-24 with stable housing and supportive services.  The first of its kind in Illinois, this program asks trained volunteers to open their homes to unstably-housed Chicago LGBTQ youth, ending LGBTQ youth homelessness one partnership at a time.
