Curious but baffled by the thought of growing mushrooms? Learn the stages of growth and methods of cultivation. Mushroom cultivation is fascinating and becoming a growing trend. Fungi are becoming more respected as a food source and natural medicine. Certain varieties can be grown in gardens and compost piles or even on coffee grounds or indoors in apartments.

Class cost: $15 in advance $20 at the door If cost is a discouragement, please email me for an alternative arrangement.

There will be a presentation, resource sharing and a brief demonstration followed by conversation. Bring something to take notes with as well as all your questions.

The Lincoln Square North Neighbors organization will be holding its monthly meeting on Monday, May 21st, 2012 at Matty K’s.  Our area encompasses everything between Lawrence and Foster, Western and the Chicago River. We are currently 15 members strong, but are looking to vastly increase our member base to more effectively influence our community.  Our meetings are less than two hours and we discuss any social, educational and economic topics that impact our area as well as any issues within this area.  These issues are then brought to the aldermen of the 40th and 47th Ward.  If you are located within our boundaries, please come out and support our organization.
