Square Roots, Craft Beer in the Street
The Square Roots festival opened Friday night to large crowds and lovely weather. From Montrose to Wilson, sponsors Old Town School of Folk Music and the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce occupied Lincoln Avenue and served up craft beer, food and music. Two music stages at either end of Lincoln entertained those drinking beer in the street and those playing ball in Welles Park. Square Roots runs Saturday and Sunday as well.
