- The Gordon Tech Rams fell in the IHSA Super-Sectional playoff game to the Herscher High School Tiger, 9 – 3, on Memorial Day afternoon at Benedictine University in Lisle.
- The Rams’ prospects looked promising in the first half inning when they jumped out to a 3 – 0 lead. But Rams senior pitcher, Noe Arteaga, struggled with his control after that, giving up seven runs on seven walks and six hits in five innings. The Rams struggled on offense as well failing to score after the first.
- Only one team wins its last playoff game of the year and this year that team is not Gordon Tech. Gordon Tech High School had its most successful playoff run in school history reaching the super-sectional championship game.
