Rockford IceHogs’ netminder Carter Hutton was named Reebok’s Player of the Week for the AHL. Hutton has been in Rockford since Alexander Salak was sidelined with a injury. Since his recall from Toledo, Hutton has worked himself into the #1 starter spot. For this past week alone, his record for the IceHogs is 4-0-0.
Hutton has appeared in 17 games to date for the IceHogs and has a .911 save percentage, a 2.69 goals-against average and a game record of 9-5-1. This is Hutton’s 2nd season as a professional.
His enthusiasm for the game is refreshing to say the least. Every time the IceHogs score a goal he can be seen reacting with fist pumps and cheering. He really seems to enjoy playing the game of hockey.
