Eric Rojas of Chicago Real Estate Local thinks an annual semi-professional firework display at Winnemac Park, Damen Ave at Argyle Street, is a neighborhood tradition worthy of note.
However reader comments make it clear some residents don’t see the annual display the same way.

My post is pretty sarcastic as I rarely use exclamation points. But I can see where It might be looked at as supportive. I don’t support the fireworks, but it’s newsworthy. It’s a two hour long semi-professional show in a public park every year. Clearly, some people don’t like it. Clearly, however, many do and the police look the other way.
As I point out, I believe if several people called to report it to 311 and even 911 it would be shut down. The City has to show some sort of action on those calls as well.
Eric,
I apologize if my summary didn’t capture the spirit of your original article.
