Former Lawrence Hall teacher inducted to Nebraska Sports Hall of Fame

The Omaha World notes Cheryl Brooks will be inducted into the Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame. The former Lawrence Hall teacher died in 2008, according to the paper.

Brooks was a basketball standout, the World says, at Midland Lutheran College.

Brooks was among 12 inductiees and two image award recipients. They will be honored in Omaha at a hall of fame dinner.
