More police could be headed to beats in Ravenswood and Uptown, according to a news release obtained by Uptown Update.
The release notes that 150 police officers will be added to 15 districts including 19, which covers most of Ravenswood, 20 and 23, which cover the northern lakefront including Uptown and Edgewater and 17, which includes Albany Park, Avondale and Irving Park.
The release says the additional officers will be assigned starting Sun. June 19.
