A reunion of sorts was held last Wednesday in Rockford. It was the first return appearance of former IceHogs player, Brian Connelly since his sudden trade last month to the Calgory Flames by the Chicago Blackhawks. He is currently on the Abbotsford Heat’s roster. Also playing in the game that night was former Chicago Blackhawk’s prospect & former IceHogs player, Akim Aliu. To round out the reunion was former IceHogs player, Hugh Jessiman. Both Jessiman & Connelly received rousing cheers during opening introductions of the visitors starting lineup. Traditionally, IceHogs fans chant “sucks” after each visiting player’s name is announced.
