Radiance May, 34, an employee of Lawrence Hall Youth Services in the Ravenswood neighborhood died in a one-car auto accident on the Dan Ryan Expressway last week. Chicago Breaking News reports the Albany Park resident lost control of her vehicle on the inbound Ryan shortly after midnight Nov. 5.
May was remembered by Bulldog photo editor Jane Rickard as someone who “cared about children and worked to improve their lives.”
Lawrence Hall CEO Mary Hollie said “Radiance touched the lives of so many children and youth. We join her family and friends in grieving her loss.”
Chicago Breaking News reports “Witnesses said she was traveling about 40 mph when she veered to the right, hitting a concrete barrier on the right shoulder, and then swerved to the left, hitting another concrete barrier head-on.”
Rickard said May had been working two jobs and was complaining how tired she was just days before the accident.
